Why we exist

Children don’t hate their mother tongue. They hate boring.

Children today find engaging content in English on every screen, while content in Indian languages often feels dated. That gap makes many children, in India and across the diaspora, feel that their own language is difficult or dull.

We build modern, playful tools that make native languages a joy to learn and natural to use, so the next generation stays connected to its language, culture and heritage.

Lex

Latin for word, the root of lexicon.

ifyd

Our playful spelling of -ified, as in “made into”.

Put together: your language, made fun. We misspelled it on purpose, because language should be playful.

And the four colours under our name? They stand for the four foundational language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Our promise

Safe for children, respectful of everyone

No ads

Not now, not later. Children learn without interruptions or sales pitches.

No tracking in our apps

Our apps don’t track you, and we never sell what you type or learn.

Only the access we need

We ask only for what a feature needs, such as the microphone for voice typing.
