Which Tamil variants are supported?
Word predictions are tuned for Tamil as written in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia/Singapore. You can choose your variant in the app settings.
Can I type Grantha letters and Tamil numerals?
Yes. The Shift layer gives you Grantha (வடமொழி) letters and Tamil numerals, and a separate layer has numbers and symbols.
Does Tamil Izhai collect what I type?
No. Tamil Izhai doesn’t collect what you type, and the app doesn’t track you. Voice typing sends your speech securely for transcription; we don’t store the audio or the text.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your Tamil Izhai account in the app, or request deletion on our account deletion page. Your account is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently removed. Delete your account →
